Directions to HORIZON by public transportation
By PATH Train:
PATH Train to Journal Square. Exit station and walk approximately ˝ mile south on Bergen Avenue to Horizon. Or: on platform A1, take the Bergen Avenue bus to Fairmount Avenue. Horizon Health Center is across the street – 714 Bergen Avenue. Or: take a taxi to clinic. Approximately $5 fare.
By Bus:
From North Hudson County: Take the #10 Kennedy Boulevard Bus south to Journal Square Terminal; on platform A1, take the Bergen Avenue bus to Fairmount Avenue. Horizon Health Center is across the street on the corner – 714 Bergen Avenue.
From Bayonne: Take the Bergen Avenue bus at Broadway City Line to Fairmount Avenue...or...take the #10 Kennedy Boulevard Bus north to Montgomery Street. Horizon is on the corner at 714 Bergen Avenue.
From South Hudson County: Take the #10 Kennedy Boulevard Bus north to Montgomery Street – walk two blocks east (direction you face when getting off the bus) to Bergen Avenue. Walk 1 – ˝ blocks south (to the right), cross the street to Horizon Health Center at 714 Bergen Avenue.
From Hoboken: Take NJ Transit #87 bus to Fairmount Avenue (at corner of Bergen Avenue). Walk to Horizon entrance at 714 Bergen Avenue.
From West Side: Take NJ Transit #80 / Exchange Place bus. Horizon is 1 block south....or....take Montgomery & Westside bus. Horizon is 1 block south.
From Journal Square: Take the Bergen Avenue bus on platform A1 to Fairmount Avenue. Horizon is on the corner. Take the #10 Kennedy Boulevard Bus south to Montgomery Street. Horizon is 2 blocks east and 1 block south.
From Downtown Jersey City: Take the Montgomery and West Side bus to Bergen Avenue. Horizon is 1 block south.
Directions by Car:
From the New Jersey Turnpike Exit 14C: After toll, stay right and exit at Grand Street. Go down ramp to the first traffic light (Montgomery Street). Make left turn and go straight up hill for a little less than one mile, to a large intersection. Make a left turn onto Bergen Avenue. Continue two blocks to Horizon Health Center, at corner of Bergen and Fairmount Avenues.
Parking: There is a municipal lot just south of the Health Center on Bergen Avenue. There is also a municipal lot on Montgomery Street.
From the New Jersey Turnpike Exit 15E: Follow signs for Route 1 & 9 Truck, exiting the ramp on the right. Continue straight for approximately 3.5 mile to Bergen Avenue. Make a left onto Bergen Avenue. Continue to the corner of Bergen and Fairmount Avenues (5 lights) - Horizon Health Center is on the right.
Parking: There is a municipal lot just south of the Health Center on Bergen Avenue. There is also a municipal lot on Montgomery Street.
From Route 3 East: Exit Kennedy Boulevard in Union City / Jersey City. Proceed south on Kennedy Boulevard to Saint Peter’s College, at Montgomery Street in Jersey City (approximately six miles). Continue one block south to Fairmount Avenue. Turn left onto Fairmount Avenue, go one block to Bergen Avenue. Horizon is across the street on the right, at the corner of Fairmount and Bergen.
Parking: There is a municipal lot just south of the Health Center on Bergen Avenue. There is also a municipal lot on Montgomery Street.
From Holland Tunnel / Hoboken: Continue straight out of Holland Tunnel, up ramp. Stay in middle of ramp, following "Kennedy Boulevard" sign. Continue straight until you cannot go any further. Make left onto Kennedy Boulevard. Stay to left: Kennedy Boulevard will lead into Bergen Avenue. Continue straight on Bergen for approximately 12 blocks through large intersection at Montgomery Street. Continue two blocks; Horizon is on the left, on the corner of Bergen and Fairmount Avenues.
Parking: There is a municipal lot just south of the Health Center on Bergen Avenue. There is also a municipal lot on Montgomery Street.
