Horizon Health Center is a non-profit organization located in Jersey City that has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience in operational accounting, focusing on accounts payable and accounts receivable. He/She must also be proficient with MS Dynamics SL. Experience in the healthcare industry a plus but not required.

A full time Patient Care Tech for busy Women’s Health Program in Jersey City, NJ. Participate as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team whose primary goal is successful pregnancy outcomes for inner city women and Family Planning support through the reproductive lifecycle. Candidate must be graduated from an accredited program and maintain national certification. Spanish or Arabic speaking a plus but not necessary. A full time energetic registered nurse for busy Women’s Health program in Jersey City, NJ. Function as leader of an interdisciplinary team focused on improving health outcomes for inner city women throughout the reproductive lifecycle. Horizon Health Center is looking to immediately hire a full time pediatrician to work in its Jersey City/ Bayonne locations. Must be bilingual, be licensed to practice in the state of NJ/ Board Certified and have at least 5 years experience. Interested candidates should email their vita to hhc_employment@horizonhealth.org.
Responsible for greeting incoming patients and visitors, relaying incoming telephone calls, and performing various clerical duties in a professional manner.
Responsibilities:
1. Answer multi-line telephone system, take accurate messages, screen and direct telephone calls to the appropriate person in an efficient manner.
2. Greet and identify patients and visitors as they enter the office; inform them of the daily schedule and obtain additional patient information as needed; check in patients and alert medical staff.
3. Request patients and visitors be seated in the waiting room in a courteous manner and communicate unexpected delays when necessary.
4. Review patient information to ensure proper documentation and information are enclosed in accordance with practice guidelines.
5. Acquire necessary medical records and documents for patient charts by communicating via telephone, facsimile or in person with other office locations or office personnel.
6. Maintain a neat and organized waiting room and order supplies as needed.
7. Schedule patients for appointments and “re-call” appointments in an efficient and productive manner.
8. Receive payments from patients for services rendered and prepare deposits on a daily basis.
9. Enter financial transactions and miscellaneous correspondence on computer. Print receipts and visit summaries for patients.
10. Scan patient documents into electronic health records as appropriate, including ID, insurance card and consent forms.
11. Refer patients to other internal resources including Financial Services, WIC, and Charity Care.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Interview patients
- Complete chief complaints
- EKG and lab draw measures
- Vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, respiratory rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, weight, height, head circumference for children, last menstrual period for females, hearing and vision for all physicals starting at the age of 3.
- Record information on patients' charts.
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Pre-visit planning as per protocol.
Must have current and active Medical Assistant Certificate, Current Basic CPR certification in Adult and Pediatrics. Six months to one year training/experience. Speaking multiple languages is a plus.
